Vinyl 03 "Live" incl. John Selway Remix

After some touch ups in the Studio back in Germany, in total it took him nearly 8 weeks to finalize this title. In times where thousands of tracks are released weekly, Paul prefers to spend even more time. “I hope John still talks to me” so Paul, since he was asking him to edit his remix arrangement several times. Finally he is very content with the results, the “timeless, nearly jazzy sounding” remix version of P.Campbell and John´s brilliant soundscapes with this amazing deep groove…it´s a Rootknox!”

Pauls live acts are going through a variety of styles. Starting with “housy” tunes it will at least end up in techno or even ambient. This is also showcased on his last album, Me, Myself& Live from last summer. Three remix singles still were to follow: The “me “-12” was remixed by Kollektiv Turmstarsse, the “myself” one by Anja Schneider and the “live” and final one is now remixed by CSM godfather John Selway and Florida based newcomer Patrick Campbell.

Since Pauls roots are based in playing live, he decided to do something special on his “live” release. Doriana is the most resonating dancefloor track out of his current liveset, so he recorded several versions during live gigs and finally took the one recorded at Buenos Aires club Cocoliche. That one had that kind of mysterious and freadky atmosphere Paul was looking for.

Paul performs with all hardware live, so he rebuild that version during his south America trip on a laptop, testing it on tour at the same time. As he returned to Buenos Aires for his final performance of the tour at Cocoliche he played out the rebuild version and new it was right.
