New "12" Release by Brcic
this outstanding “12” is new in stores now! (source: www.deejay.de)
oldshool but new //Brcic aka brtschitsch on Argy´s imprint These Days
Argy's These Days label is an occasional treat in the world of stripped down tech house, and it makes its first appearance for 2016 with a selection of club-ready remixes from the label boss, tackling various productions from German techno mainstay Paul Brtschitsch. The “Floor Adaptation” of “Green” heads into subterranean pastures, albeit with a powerful beat propelling it, and “Eternal Aspects” maintains that underground mood with a warmer synth repertoire. On the more flamboyant B-side, “Squeezed” takes on a wild old-skool quality perfect for more fiery moments on the floor before “Subbass” continues the jacking theme in fine style.

Rootknox 24 `Money´
money, money, was recorded in may 1976 by swedish pop group ABBA. 1976, also the year paul brtschitsch was born. Propably one of many reasons he always had a special relation to the song ever since. almost 40 years later he felt like editing a club version out of it suiting the Song into his techno & house sets. with a wink to the actual development of the high payed elite dj league… take a closer Look, listen and you will recognize it is raining while the chorus say “must be sunny”…

Review in DJ MAG / Nov. 2012

- title: PRE 10 INCH *BEIJING ROCK*
- artist: Paul Brtschitsch
- format: vinyl and digital
- cat.no: Rootvd007
- relesase date: September 2012
the limited 10 inch comes along with 2 tracks previewing the album + a sticker.
Wunderbar ehrlich – Paul Brcic in reinster Form.

- relesase date: September 2012
Beijing Rock, the seventh solo album from Paul Brcic (previously Brtschitsch), catapults a simultaneously driving and emotional production into the world of electronic sound. By the same token, it literally pulsates with love for Detroit techno, smoothly laid percussion and gripping bass.
Beijing Rock consciously opens the gates of this world and flows through impressions of sound and aesthetics without losing sight of the bare essentials. It is the true soul of techno with respect to its authenticity.
The album utilizes its own “Soundtrashthetic” outright and buoyantly moves self-confidently through musical decades. Lovingly arranged samples from the 40s, live trumpets, and vocal nuances underscore the wonderful ease of the LP. Genre limits have no place in Paul Brcic’s universe, where an almost rebellious attitude exists and the production is inspired with pleasant, subtle progression.
Without a doubt, Paul Brcic sets off a multi-faceted sound explosion with his album, Beijing Rock, always keeping one eye on production / technical details and the other on organic sound. Beijing Rock immediately invades the senses from the first measure, taking you on a journey outside of the clubs of this world and just as quickly pulling you back to the sweat-inducing, wild nights. Paul Brcic in his purest form.
Album Review "Beijing Rock" Groove issue Sept./Oct.

dj Mag review to the wood vinyls

Following the 2010 remake of “Clamber”, we´re proud to welcome Jesper Dahlbäck on board with his late 90's founded Brommage Dub project. The first track is all about producing electronic music without the help of Ableton and modern audio sequencing programs, taking us back to the days of tweaking synthesizers and arranging those live on the mixing desk into a 2-track dat recorder - giving soul and depth to the music. The mail conversation betwween Paul and Jesper gives you more details on this topic.
The Vinyl is limited to 125 serial numbered copies including an exclusive track by Britschmalro feat. Malte.
Jesper wrote to Paul:
…there might be a dat master somewhere with the track but maybe you will not use anything from the original or sample the vinyl… :) i'm not 100% sure where this dat tape could be, it might be in the studio. /j
hey jesper,
i hope i´m still finding you on this old myspace medium ,-) hope you´re doing fine & well! so we´re about to release the “classic” now (sorry the closing of our old distributor was confusing the release shedule a bit) therefore me and a friend are about to re- programm the whole track to get proper remix parts out of it..and maybe you still got some helpful and important information concerning synthesizers which were used in that track? we found out so far: tr 909 (of course cr 78 (tamburins) microwave (the hook piano like chords) right? roland space echo electro harmonix tube zipper (for the feedback sounds in the end?) very important the bassline wich turns into a super fat synth sound…what was that? a juno 106 or somethin´? this is the only sound which is really tough to get… thanks for your help, i keep you updated with the remixes and the release!
all the best, paul
hey!
just quickly, this is what i remember from the studio….
- roland jx3p making the chords - roland space echo of course - i think we used a roland r8 for most of the drum sounds except: - a clap trap making… well, the claps… BUT i think it's also sampled into a casio sampler! that is why there is fragments of the claps playing as extra percussion - clap trap is doing the cr78 noisy percussion sound at recording time - roland system 100 korg ms20 for the background noises and i think the resonance filters of the ms20 is what's making the feedback sound at the end! - possibly it might be the trig from the tr707 controlling the clap trap - i think it's the juno 60 playing the bass line - most likely a tr707 making the ride cymbal - a dbx 163 was more or less compressing the whole drum secition - atari syncing everything ghetto mixing one live recording take down to DAT :) one thing about the track to be mentioned is that simon hartley, who was previously working with LFO, happened to be in the studio helping us out with the system 100 and the ms20 . so i think this time he deserves to be credited on the record! that's about it i think! good luck !
i'm very curious to hear your mix! /j

Rootknox and Varianz - brought their artists together in order to create a fusion of sounds enjoyed in clubs in Buenos Aires and Berlin alike. Varianz the label of Raeyk was called into life 2009 and is standing for deep Techno.
Artists include Paul Brtschitsch, Mariano Dc, Joel Mull, Raeyk and Staffan Linzatti.
Spanish Review @ del jardin latino
For their shared goal, deejays and producers of the Buenos Aires based club Cocoliche spent the summer in Berlin. In the capital of electronic music they continued successfully the fruitful cooperations that started already last year with German artists in Argentina such as Paul Brtschitsch and Raeyk. The spark of inspiration that the producers gave to each other through their individual colourings from their different backgrounds is well represented on this unrivaled compilation!
011 Clamber
- title: Clamber2010
- artist: Paul Brtschitsch
- remixer: Mariano DC / Martin Wörner
- format: vinyl and digital
- cat.no: Rootvd004
- relesase date: august 2010
We’re proud to have an Argentinean guest on this record: Mariano DC, resident of the world known Cocoliche Club in Buenos Aires, is showing once more his definition of deep techno soundscapes. On top, Martin Wörner is presenting his “nu-school” definition of the original.
Martin Woerners last record on Paso received big attention and charted high in all the right shops. You’ll also hear a 3 minute preview track of Paul´s “Brtischmalro – Blossom“– a project with Mr.Rod and singer Malte. This track will only be on vinyl…In addition to that there will be “Swang” as digital exclusive.
Vinyl 03 "Live" incl. John Selway Remix
After some touch ups in the Studio back in Germany, in total it took him nearly 8 weeks to finalize this title. In times where thousands of tracks are released weekly, Paul prefers to spend even more time. “I hope John still talks to me” so Paul, since he was asking him to edit his remix arrangement several times. Finally he is very content with the results, the “timeless, nearly jazzy sounding” remix version of P.Campbell and John´s brilliant soundscapes with this amazing deep groove…it´s a Rootknox!”
004 sneep
- title: sneep/ monoplaine rmx
- artist: paul brtschitsch
- remixer: Scorpion Sting (monoplaine remix)
- format: digital
- cat.no: root004
- release date: november 2008
Two dazzling, absolutely mental tracks. Peaktime frenzy!
Stop the presses… Man of the moment Paul Brtschitsch returns after the critically acclaimed Bridge Itch EP on Wolfskuil Recordings with two brand spanking new floorfillers. First one fresh out of the studio is Sneep, a luscious, deeply grooving monster that reflects Paul’s love for intense vibes and warm sounds. This one’s a slow moving, tension-building deep house tune for those midnight moments when things are about to get really hot and heavy. A steamy, sweaty, and sexy dream converted into audio…
Monoplaine (Scorpion Sting Remix)
And then there’s Scorpion Sting, who skillfully remixes Monoplaine into a sense-tickling trip that explores the fine lines between deep house and minimal with a touch of progressive. Thick synth waves, pulsating bass and captivating effects will take you on a journey through the very depths of electronic music.
003 the dentex
- title: the dentex
- artist: paul brtschitsch
- format: digital
- cat.no: root003
- release date: april 2008
The Dentex moves his gleaming body elegantly through the depths of the ocean. But this predatory fish also shows his teeth…just like Paul’s 3rd release on his own label Rootknox! In a springlike ease one catchy melody alternates with the other. They come together as one and let go, they come together and … disappear like the Dentex in the deep blue… It’s the massive beat fundament showing his teeth, that lets the Dentex dance rhythmically in the depth of the sea.
Apollonia (Paul Brtschitsch Remix)
In the past the original title has been released by Bigeneric on the Interchill Compilation “Devil in the Detail“. Marco Repetto, a versatile producer, is the man behind the pseudonym of Bigeneric. He is also known for drumming the legendary song Eisbär by the band Grauzone in 1981. Once more Paul Brtschitsch demonstrates with his remix, how good he is in blending the colours and spirits of ambient music with the depths of club music. At the latest since his albums of concept like Surftronic and Venex, his talent of story telling on the basis of beats has become inseparable from Brtschitsch’s sound philosophy: Body meets mind music!
002 Spindrift
- title: Spindrift
- artist: paul brtschitsch*
- format: digital
- cat.no: root002
relase date: november 2007
Spindrift is the second release of Paul Brtschitsch on the label Rootknox. The track describes a timeless deep sound landscape which is developing step by step to an outgrowing hedonistic incident. Deep dub chords fall together with a hypnotic rotating triplet bass line. Minimal hypnotic rhythm structure is combined here with the components of darkness and melodic organ dubs. Once more Brtschitsch is showing us the variety of electronic music. This track is an ode to the hours of the early morning…forgetting the content of simple life.
005 Touse
- title: Touse
- artist: Paul Brtschitsch, Mr. Rod
- format: Digital
- cat.no: root005
- release date: january 2009
pure a-grade house music! – 365MAG.COM
He’s back in full effect… Paul Brtschitsch’s name has grown synonymous to first class peak time tuneage and this shiny new EP (a foretaste of Paul’s 4th album, which is due for release soon on his own Rootknox imprint!) simply again proves why he’s on top of his league. First up is Touse, which combines the unique elements of Techno and House into an entrancing groove underlined by punchy kicks, sexy yet subtle synths and an intense, hedonistic vibe. Deep down and dirty house music for those who know…
Next up is Salsa 727, and boy, things WILL get sweaty when this one’s on… Paul and Level 6 resident combine forces and explore the very depths of electronic music, with the result being a mesmerizing techno/deep house hybrid that hypnotizes the mind and touches the soul… This is music that matters.
